The first pattern is federal-land permitting and environmental compliance. Front Range oil and gas operators file BLM APDs on federal acreage with surface-use plans, archaeological clearance, and sage-grouse stipulations. EPA Clean Water Act 404 permits and stormwater filings layer on top. Newmont Mining (now headquartered in Denver) handles environmental compliance across mining operations under EPA and state-level oversight. The data lives in GIS layers, state oil-and-gas commission databases, federal land records, and survey systems. Assembly is the work.
The second pattern is aerospace supply chain.
