AI Agent Development · Miami
Miami sits on top of three operational stacks that almost no other US city has at this density: Latin America-facing fintech and payments, the world's cruise and maritime industry, and the FinCEN-registered crypto exchanges that moved here after 2021. The agent workloads here are shaped by multilingual customer bases (Spanish, Portuguese, English), multi-jurisdiction regulators, and an unusually high share of cross-border data that does not fit a US-only template.
MasterCard runs its LatAm HQ here and processes cross-border payment disputes that span four jurisdictions in a single case. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian coordinate port-call ops where USCG, IMO MARPOL, and a dozen destination regulators all touch the same itinerary. Citadel, hedge funds, and Citadel-adjacent trading firms have moved trading ops to Brickell. World Fuel Services runs marine and aviation fuel distribution at port scale.
Fixed-scope projects, quoted to fit. Discovery first, fixed quote after, four to eight weeks of build with weekly demos on Eastern time.
Tell us about the workflow.
The first pattern is cross-border payments and dispute ops. MasterCard's LatAm HQ in Doral, Visa's LatAm presence, and the long tail of remittance and B2B payment players in Brickell all handle cross-border payment disputes that span three or four jurisdictions per case. The SWIFT and ISO 20022 message flow (pacs.008, pacs.002, pacs.004, camt.029) is deterministic, but the customer-side narrative and the regulator-facing response (CONDUSEF, Procon, Superintendencia Financiera, Banco Central do Brasil) requires multilingual drafting that the agent owns.
The second pattern is cruise and maritime ops. Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian are all headquartered in or near Miami, and PortMiami is the largest cruise port in the world. A single port-call combines USCG arrival reporting, IMO MARPOL waste declarations, customs and immigration filings for the destination country, fuel and provisioning coordination, crew rotation logistics, and passenger excursion scheduling. An agent that ingests the planned itinerary and surfaces conflicts saves a port-call coordinator hours per ship-day.
The third pattern is crypto and RegTech. The post-2021 FinCEN-registered MSB segment in Miami is unusually dense for a US city. KYC, AML, and SAR workflows combine on-chain forensics (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic), traditional sanctions and adverse-media screening, and multilingual customer communication. The BSA officer is the regulatory signer. The agent assembles the case file.
The fourth pattern is trading ops at the firms that moved here from New York and Chicago. Citadel's Miami office and the trading-firm cluster around Brickell run middle-office workflows (trade affirmation, fail reconciliation, regulatory reporting) that look similar to New York but with the headcount budget of a younger office and a stronger interest in agent-assisted workflows from day one.
The fifth pattern is logistics and trade compliance. World Fuel Services in Doral runs marine and aviation fuel distribution that touches IMO bunker delivery notes, ISO 8217 fuel specs, and customs declarations across dozens of jurisdictions. The port-adjacent customs-brokerage and freight-forwarding community runs similar shape workflows. Trade compliance is the bottleneck and the agent is the orchestrator.
What ties all of these together is the multilingual, multi-jurisdiction reality that most US-built agent products handle poorly. An agent built for Miami starts with that assumption baked in.

Miami is the operational capital of Latin America for US-domiciled firms. MasterCard, Visa, and the major remittance players run their LatAm operations from Doral and Brickell. The cruise industry concentrates here in a way no other city matches: Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian together carry well over half of the global cruise market. The post-2021 financial and crypto migration brought Citadel, Blackstone, and a wave of FinCEN-registered crypto exchanges into the metro.
The connective tissue is multilingual, multi-jurisdiction, and cross-border. Agent workloads here have to handle Spanish and Portuguese as first-class outputs, multiple regulators per workflow, and time-zone realities that span Eastern through Brasilia and Buenos Aires. Off-the-shelf agent products built for US-only stacks miss most of this. We build for the actual shape of the work.
We work remotely with Miami clients on Eastern time. Discovery calls fit between 9am and 6pm ET, demos happen weekly, and the codebase ships to a repository you own. The team works in English and Spanish at the spec and review level; agent output gets native-speaker review on the labeled set.
Industries where we see strongest fit: LatAm-facing payments and remittance, cross-border B2B fintech, cruise and maritime ops, crypto exchanges and FinCEN-registered MSBs, trade-finance and customs brokerage, and trading-ops middle office for relocated firms.
