Yes. For CUI or ITAR-constrained environments we configure on-premise ASR and TTS using locally hosted models. This adds cost and setup time compared to cloud APIs, but keeps audio data entirely within your network boundary. We have deployed this architecture for defense sector clients and can scope it as a hard requirement from discovery.
We configure noise-tolerant ASR models tuned for high-noise conditions and apply pre-processing filters to the audio stream before transcription. For field operations, we also design shorter confirmation turns so the agent catches mishears early rather than acting on a misunderstood command. This is specified and tested in QA before handoff.
Logging is configurable. For regulated environments, transcripts can be written to an on-premise datastore, a GovCloud bucket with appropriate controls, or not stored at all depending on your compliance posture.
